2001, Gradated from Xiamen University.

1999, began to participate in outdoor sports, especially in hiking and bicycling.

2000, organized Xiamen-Beijing Bicycle Travel.

2002 and 2003, participated twice in the investigation and exploration of the Chumaerhe River－Suojia Wildlife Protected Area at the Sanjiangyuan (Source of Three Rivers) Nature Reserve, Qing-Tibetan Plateau.

2005, hiked on the loop route from Meiduosila Snow Mountain at Shangri-La, Diqing Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Meili Holy Mountain at Deqin County, to Yubeng Village at Meili Snow Mountain. Besides, hiked twice on the south route and the north route of Nujiang River and Biluo Snow Mountain.

2000-present, participated many other low-intensity bicycling and hiking trips.



Having rich experience in conducting outdoor sports and travels on highland and mountains between 3000-5000 m.

2003, began to work in the field of regional tourism planning.

2005, was invited to participate in the “Southwest Highland Eco-Tourism Workshop”, and began to participate in research on ecotourism development in the villages in Shangri-La of Diqing, Deqin County, and Gongshan County of Nujiang Prefecture.

2005, resigned from previous job, and began to work full-time on community-based ecotourism development projects in northwestern Yunnan Province, collaborating with Center for Biodiversity and Indigenous Knowledge (CBIK) at Yunnan, and the Moutain Institute of the United Stated.

2008, established a social enterprise, Tu Xiang Tu Se (literally meaning the original scenes and features in Chinese) Community-Based Ecotourism Development Company ltd., which aims at working with local rural communities in the northwestern part of Yunnan Province to develop community-based ecotourism.
